What could be better, a fresh snowfall, late afternoon sunlight and it's the weekend. Photographing wintertime scenes is best done right after a fresh snowfall. The snow is clean (there is no dirt on it) and it also has a magical look in the final print. The best time to photograph snow is early morning or late afternoon. The light will skim across the snow and give it its texture. The blue sky above added some fill light to the shadows to help open them up. The true impact, statement, and artistic value of the photograph is lost in the process of making the photograph web friendly. The only way to really appreciate fine artwork is to see the real thing. All work shown on this site is for sale and comes with a 30 day returnpolicy. |
